COURTESY VISIT TO UGANDA’S MINISTRY OF TRADE, INDUSTRY AND COOPERATIVES, COMMISSIONER EXTERNAL TRADE

The Chamber of Business National Executive Chairman and Chamber President Dr.Samuel Warwathe accompanied by the Chief Executive Officer Ms.Penah Mutinda met Ms.Georgina Mugira the External Trade Commissioner with key representatives of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives, External Trade Office in Kampala, Uganda.

The meeting focused on crucial areas such as how government support could enhance economic growth through collaboration with private sectors through simplifying regulatory processes, improving trade infrastructure, and addressing challenges faced by SMEs.

Ms. Bernadette M.Ssempa, the Counsellor Ministry of Foreign Affairs, affirmed that a cooperative approach across EAC countries would attract foreign direct Investments, empower local businesses, and ultimately contribute to sustainable economic growth across the region.
